The state's official website, Texas.gov, just got a little more user friendly. You can now use the new website on mobile devices, tablets or a desktop. In addition to finding information quickly on driver's license renewals and records, you can also get information from 183 state agencies right at your fingertips.

Speaking of getting records online, if you are involved in a car accident and need to get a copy of your crash report, Buycrash.com says you can now buy a copy of your police report online instead of having to go to the police department to get it.

The Texas Association of Realtors says surging demand for Texas homes along with rising prices and shrinking inventory bodes well for the summer selling season. The median price for a home in Texas for the first quarter of this year was $158,000 - a 7 percent increase compared with last year.

While many travelers are seeing airfares rise ahead summer, Southwest and Airtran are offering another fare sale. Some flights are as low as $59 bucks one-way, including a trip from Austin to Houston or Harlingen for travel from May 14 to Oct. 30. Seats are limited and you have to travel on a Tuesday or Wednesday. You can check Southwest's website for all the fine print.
