HOUSTON -- Real Pirates, the world's first exhibit of authentic pirate treasure, opened Thursday at Houston’s Museum of Natural Science.
It tells the story of the Whydah, a slave ship that was overtaken and transformed into a pirate ship in the early 18th century. The ship sank off the coast of Cape Cod in a fierce storm in 1717.
Real Pirates is on display until Feb. 6.
