AUSTIN -- A $3,000 cash reward is being offered to anyone with information on the whereabouts of one of Texas' top 10 Most Wanted sex offenders.
Nicholas Vonwayne Prejean, 24, is a suspected Crips gang member. The Texas Department of Public Safety says he has a violent criminal past and is a "high risk" sex offender.
Prejean is wanted for not registering as a sex offender and violating his parole. He is from Beaumont and has relatives in Houston. He has also worked as an electrician assistant in the past.
DPS says Prejean was convicted in the 2006 sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl and was sentenced to two years in prison.
He is described as 5'11" and weighs 172 pounds. He has tattoos on his back, neck, chest and arms. For more information click here.
