AUSTIN -- There will be plenty of issues to debate over during this year's legislative session.
Governor Perry is expected to outline his emergency items soon. One of them could be the Fetal Pain Bill, which would limit the window in which abortions can be performed.
The budget is expected to take center stage once lawmakers convene. They will have $101.4 billion to work with, nearly $30 billion more than in 2011.
Funding will raise the issue of restoring cuts to public education.
There will also be talks about water issues, debates over gun rights and of course - health care and Medicaid.
The House will choose a speaker on Tuesday as the session begins.
