LAPLACE, La. -- The two people who were killed in a fiery crash in Louisiana early Monday were reportedly the aunt and uncle of a San Francisco 49ers player.

Nechole Thomas, of Houston, crashed into the victims'  vehicle near LaPlace, killing both of them, according to investigators.

"Alice and bryan young my aunt and uncle was killed on Monday at 5 am after the super bowl by a drunk," said a post on  Delanie Walker's Twitter and Instagram accounts. He added another post, saying that he'll miss them, but believes they are in a better place.

The Youngs had driven to Louisiana to watch Walker play in the Super Bowl and were heading back home.

State police said their investigation is continuing and that they are waiting for autopsies to confirm the identities.

Thomas, 26, was driving "at a high rate of speed" on I-10 westbound when she hit the rear of a vehicle stopped on the shoulder, according to state police. Both vehicles caught on fire.

Thomas was able to escape the accident with minor injuries, but the two people in the stopped car -- a 2012 Nissan Altima -- were found dead inside of the vehicle.

It took nearly an hour to put out the fire.

State police say "impairment is suspected for Thomas" and tests are pending. Thomas faces two counts of vehicular homicide, DWI and reckless operation. She is being held in the St. Charles Parish Correction Center.
