AUSTIN -- The winter flu season is in full swing, and Texas is one of the hardest hit states in the country.

There have been two flu deaths in Austin, one from the strain of H1N1.

The H1N1 is hitting young and middle-aged people much harder than older people, which is unusual.

The flu outbreak in Texas has led to increased demand for the flu vaccine.

We checked around town Saturday, the CVS on Anderson Lane and the one on Far West Blvd. are both out of flu vaccinations.

Call ahead if you plan on getting the flu shot.
