HOUSTON – Investigators were on the hunt Thursday for a shower-cap-and-pajama-clad bank robbery suspect.
Investigators said a woman, who was wearing a purple shower cap and pajama pants, robbed a teller at gunpoint around 10 a.m. Thursday at the Lonestar Bank in the 7600 block of Highway 6 in Houston.
The Houston FBI’s Bank Robbery Task Force dubbed her the "Rub-A-Dub Robber."
Investigators said the suspect, who appeared to be in her mid-20s, pointed a black, semi-automatic pistol at the teller and told her to hurry. She directed the teller to put cash in a brown paper bag that she’d carried with her to the robbery.
The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of money in a beige, older-model sedan.
No one was physically injured.
Investigators said the suspect is about 5-feet-8-inches tall and weighs around 160 to 170 pounds.
Anyone with information on this case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477 or the Houston office of the FBI at 713-693-5000.
Information leading to an arrest could earn a cash reward of up to $5,000.
