SAN ANTONIO -- Ed Clarke lit up his home inside and out for the past 25 years.

Clarke told KENS 5 in 2006, "I started this in '88 to make it a memorial and a tribute to that beautiful lady I loved with all my heart.  We were married for 40 years. She loved Christmas."

But earlier this year, Clarke passed away, and now the house that brightened his neighborhood in northeast San Antonio has gone dark.

Luis Loyo was one of Clarke's close friends, and said, "He made me feel as a kid again and I'm sure everybody that used to come to this house, you still feel like a kid again.  It was something else, fantastic."

Before his passing, Clarke told Loyo that he was ready to be with his wife, someone he had been missing for over 20 years.
