Former Dallas Cowboys player Sam Hurd will spend 15 years in federal prison.

He was sentenced late Wednesday afternoon on a drug conviction.

Hurd pleaded guilty to possession of cocaine and drug trafficking.

According to a Sports Illustrated article, Hurd told the magazine he smoked marijuana every day as a Cowboys player, and supplied the drug to several teammates.
