NAVARRO COUNTY — Three children and two adults were found dead in their Navarro County home Sunday evening, the sheriff's office reported.

In a statement posted on the department's Facebook page, Sheriff Elmer Tanner said dispatchers received a 911 call from a Spanish-speaking man around 7 p.m. who said five members of his family were dead in the home on NW 0149 near Rice, Texas.

Deputies confirmed the deaths, and Sheriff Tanner said detectives are examining the "crime scene."

"We are concentrating on the investigation inside the residence and we do not have reason to believe there are any other suspects at this time," the sheriff wrote.

The names of the victims have not been released.

Sheriff Tanner said "all media questions will be answered" in a press release to be issued at 9 a.m. Monday.

Rice is about 40 miles southeast of Dallas.
