An American Airlines MD-80 jet took off from Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday morning, but was diverted on its scheduled trip to DFW International Airport.

The aircraft made an emergency landing in Little Rock, Arkansas after one of the engines went out.

Emergency crews were standing by along the runway, but Flight 1111 landed safely around 12:30 p.m. and all 135 people on board are okay.

Passengers were scheduled to be flown to Dallas on Sunday evening.
