SAN ANTONIO -- A good Samaritan was hit and killed while directing traffic around an accident early Monday morning.
The original crash occurred on the upper level of the I-35 North to I-10 West interchange just before 4 a.m.
San Antonio police said two people stopped to help, including a 44-year-old woman who got out of her truck to direct traffic around the accident.
She was hit by a vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said no charges are expected.
The name of the victim has not yet been released.
Traffic was backed up following the two accidents but was clear before Monday's rush hour.
