HARRIS COUNTY, Texas –- A marijuana grow house operation worth $1.1 million was shut down in northeast Harris County overnight, deputies said.
Authorities uncovered the massive operation after raiding what looked like a quiet suburban home, but they said it turned out to be an elaborate criminal operation.
Authorities found hundreds of plants along with special equipment inside the home in the 12700 block of Blue Timbers Court. Three suspects connected to the property were taken into custody.
Officials said the suspects may face extra charges because the grow house was very close to an elementary school.
After clearing the property of the plants and the equipment, deputies left a search warrant posted to the home’s front door early Tuesday morning.
An electrical box outside the home appeared to be tampered with.
