SEABROOK, Texas -- If you think you are the ultimate Texans fan, you might be getting outdone by a couple in Seabrook. Damon Parrott and Renee Venegas love the team so much that they’ve made the Texans their wedding theme.
The couple with be exchanging vows at the Jimmie Walker Community Center in Kemah on Saturday.
The soon-to-be newlyweds aren’t skipping a beat. Their rings are customized with team colors, and they will be wearing their favorite Texans jerseys after the first dance.
They didn’t forget about everyone else either. The Justice of the Peace who is marrying them will be wearing a referee jersey and everyone in attendance is being asked to wear Texans attire.
“This was actually in the works eight months before the season even started, and it just ironically happened to be their best season ever,” said Damon Parrott.
Parrott said he’s been a fan of the Texans since the very beginning. He got a Texans tattoo on his arm back in 2002.
After all these years, it seems like he has met his match.
Parrott said he first brought up the Texans theme wedding as a joke, but the concept instantly clicked with his fiancée.
“When it came out of his mouth, and he said, let’s have a Texans themed wedding, I said that’s awesome,” said Venegas.
The couple says they are the ultimate Texans fans no matter what, and right now, all signs are pointing in the right direction.
“Beautiful season. Beautiful wife. Beautiful wedding. It’s all working perfectly,” Parrott said.
