Mother and toddler dead after being pulled from submerged car

A mother and her 22-month-old baby were killed after they were trapped in a vehicle that crashed into a pond near 6100 East Loop 820 and Collett Little Road in Fort Worth. The woman and her baby could not be rescued by two bystanders who jumped in the water, nor by responding officers. The dive team was called in to pull the mother and child from the vehicle.
