SUGAR LAND, Texas – Police southwest of Houston are looking for the woman who assaulted and robbed two other women outside a Target store.

The robbery happened around 8:45 p.m. Monday at the Target near Highway 6 and Highway 59, according to the Sugar Land Police Department.

A police spokesman said the two victims were leaving the store when a female approached them, pepper sprayed them, and stole both of their handbags. Police said the assailant even punched one of the women in the face.

The suspect then fled the scene in a car with two other people in it, police said.

The women were treated at the scene but not sent to the hospital.

A detailed description of the suspect was not available.

Sugar Land police say it was Nov. 5 when a man was beaten up in a restroom at nearby First Colony Mall. A male suspect in that case was captured on camera as he left with the victim’s cell phone.

Anyone with information can call Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at 281-342-TIPS or SLPD at 281-275-2500.
