SAN ANTONIO, Texas — Local brides-to-be had the chance to snag the wedding gown of their dreams on Thursday without paying a dime.

Dozens of fiancées lined up outside the Impression Bridal Store, 602 Northwest Loop 410, in hopes of finding that perfect dress. And the best part about whatever they find: It's free.

To qualify, brides or their fiancés must be currently deployed or deployed within the last five years to either Iraq, Afghanistan, Bahrain, Libya, Korea or Japan.

Organizers with Brides Across America said Operation Wedding Gown is their way to show appreciation to troops and veterans.
