DALLAS, Texas — A Dallas County Schools bus crashed through a gate and struck three other vehicles before careening into an apartment building in East Oak Cliff late Tuesday afternoon.
Ambulances took an adult and a child to hospitals for treatment.
Investigators said the bus smashed through a gate at the apartment complex in the 3000 block of East Ledbetter Drive, then hit a Jeep with people in it. The bus careened to the right, struck a large trash receptacle, bounced off two parked vehicles and crashed into the apartment building.
The bus punched a hole in the side of the two-story brick apartment building and became wedged inside.
It was not clear whether the bus driver had some kind of seizure or there was a problem with the brakes.
