First Lady Laura Bush created the Texas Book Festival in 1995, and over the weekend, the annual gathering took over downtown Austin.
More than 200 Texas and nationally known authors of fiction, children's books and other genres are on hand at the festival.
And more than 45 thousand people are expected to attend the panel discussions, readings and book signings. The festival is free to the public.
The proceeds go to help support the state's public libraries.
