ROUND ROCK, Texas -- Round Rock police closed the exit ramp and southbound frontage road of I-35 just north of FM 3406 Wednesday afternoon after an 18-wheeler burst into flames.

The roads were reopened at 10 p.m. Wednesday.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was uninjured.

One firefighter was taken to Seton Williamson with non life-threatening injuries sustained while he was trying to put out the fire near a tire and the tire exploded. The firefighter was treated and released.
