'Ride. Drive. Give' to offer thrill of lifetime while helping local charity

You don't have to wait until race week to fulfill your need for speed while helping out a local charity.

AUSTIN-- The green flag has dropped on another season of Formula 1. The series kicked off in Australia last weekend, meaning it's only a matter of months until it's back in Austin.

But you don't have to wait until race week to fulfill your need for speed, as well as help out a local charity.

Ride. Drive. Give. is an event being sponsored by the Center for Child Protection in Travis County. It s a chance for you to do all three: ride, drive and give, at the Circuit of the Americas track.

They will ride in an F1 car. They can drive a super car on the COTA track or they can bring their own fast car onto the COTA track, said Director of Communications at the Center for Child Protection Melanie Chasteen.

All of the money raised is going toward helping abused and neglected children in Travis County.

The event will be held March 29. Go here for more information.

Check out the organization's Facebook page before 5 p.m. Tuesday for a chance to win a free spot at Ride. Drive. Give.
