There is controversy over Gov. Rick Perry's new political ad, which features the Farm to Market Grocery in Austin.

Owner Peg McCoy demands that the commercial be withdrawn, saying she did not give permission for her store to be featured in the Republican's ad.

A Perry spokesperson said the video was shot on a public sidewalk and the spot will continue to air.

McCoy said that while she doesn't support Perry's campaign, she doesn't endorse his opponent, either.

She is evidently not the only Texan who hasn't decided who to support in the election that's now just seven weeks away.

A new UT-Texas Tribune poll finds Gov. Perry leading Democratic challenger Bill White 39 to 33 percent, with nearly identical numbers in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

But what's more interesting are the undecideds: One in five Texans still doesn't know who they will support.

Perry says he feels confident that the non-committal voters will start supporting him the closer we get to Election Day.

At an event in Dallas on Monday, the governor said his record will take him to the top. He said people just need to be reminded where he stands and what he's done as governor.

"We've got to make our case to the people," Perry said. "We just started up with our TV on Sunday. This summer, people weren't paying attention; they are now."

Perry said he will keep his focus on what he thinks Texans care about most: Opportunities for children and the economy.

Bill White was campaigning in Harlingen and McAllen Monday, where he focused on education. So far, his campaign has not released a statement on the new poll numbers or on Perry's controversial ad.

The Texas Democratic Chair told The Dallas Morning News that Perry's ad is an insult to small business owners and the height of arrogance.
