AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Voters in Texas are deciding whether to place more restrictions on the government's use of eminent domain and whether to create a fund to establish more research universities.

Those are among the 11 propositions on Tuesday's election ballot.

It's expected to be a light turnout election, as most constitutional amendment elections are in Texas.

Early voting the past two weeks was heavier in Harris County than in most places because Houston is having a mayor's race and other municipal elections.
