AUSTIN, Texas (AP) — Early voting runs through Friday for the Nov. 3 election in Texas.

The secretary of state's office says early voting began Oct. 19. Eleven proposed constitutional amendments go before Texas voters.

Proposition 8 would authorize Texas to contribute money, property and other resources to establish veterans hospitals.

Prop 11 would prohibit governments from taking private property for private economic development to increase a tax base. It also would limit the Legislature's power to grant eminent domain authority to a governmental entity.
