The deadly Oklahoma tornado was the front page story in newspapers across the country on Tuesday, May 21.

In Oklahoma, The Normal Transcript calls the damage "a nightmare."

The Oklahoma City paper, The Oklahoman, uses the headline "Worse than May 3rd" to describe the devastation. This references a deadly tornado which struck the same area in 1999.

USA Today calls the storm "40 minutes of terror" in its headline.
