PHOENIX (AP) — Testimony has concluded for the day in Jodi Arias' murder trial.

The prosecution is presenting its rebuttal case after the defense rested last week.

An ex-girlfriend of the man Arias says she killed in self-defense testified Tuesday that with her, the victim was never abusive.

Arias' lawyers have worked to portray her as a domestic violence victim. Arias claims her one-time boyfriend once choked her into unconsciousness and that on the day he died, she feared for her life.

Testimony continues Wednesday afternoon.

Arias faces a potential death sentence if convicted of first-degree murder in the June 2008 killing of Travis Alexander at his suburban Phoenix home.

Authorities say she planned the attack in a jealous rage. Arias says it was self-defense.
