ATLANTA (AP) — It's been the near-total absence of turnovers that's been an interesting story line in this Syracuse-Michigan matchup.
At the first media timeout of the second half, with the Wolverines leading 39-32, the Orange had committed just five turnovers and Michigan had committed two.
In the case of the Wolverines, that shouldn't come as much surprise.
Their starting backcourt of Trey Burke, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Nik Stauskas are about as steady as they come with the rock, and a big reason why Michigan had the lowest turnover rate in Division I basketball this season — just 9.4 per game.
