Youtube, Google music mogul added to list of 2018 SXSW keynote speakers

AUSTIN - Lyor Cohen, the Global Head of Music at Youtube and Google, will be the Music Keynote Speaker at SXSW in 2018.

Cohen is an American music industry executive, overseeing domestic and international music partnership, and even artist and label relations. He is the founder of music content company, 300, where he aims to use innovative technology in order to recognize, cultivate, and encourage rising arts. Cohen has worked with notable artists like The Killers, Ed Sheeran, Bruno Mars, Jay-Z, Kanye West and more. 

Cohen joins previously-announced SXSW Keynotes Darren Aronofsky, Ta-Nehisi Coates, Barry Jenkins , Sadiq Khan, Esther Perel, and whurley. His Keynote will take place on Wednesday, March 14 during the second half of SXSW Week.

Other featured speakers include Alex Chung, founder and CEO of GIPHY, Katie Couric, award-winning journalist and New York Times best-selling author, and the NBC Emmy award-winning show 'This is Us' cast,
