Woman stole electronics from homes before pawning them: Affidavit

AUSTIN - A woman accused of robbing a house in Central Austin on Nov. 19 has also been linked to three other burglaries that occurred in the same area, police said. 

The suspect, identified as Kaylee Morgan Gustin, 24, allegedly entered a West Campus residence through an unlocked door some time after 11:30 a.m.

The victims reported to the Austin Police Department that Gustin had allegedly taken a Samsung 40 inch television, a Sony soundbar and RCA antenna. 

According to the affidavit, police tracked the serial number from the television and found it had been sold to a pawn shop in North East Austin at 4:52 p.m. the same day, police said. 

Gustin is also a suspect in three other similar robberies in West Campus, which allegedly involved her taking electronics and entering through unlocked doors, according to the affidavit. 

Gustin has been charged with burglary of a habitation, and her bail is set at $30,000.

According to online records, she is currently in Travis County jail.
