ROUND ROCK, TEXAS - The teen accused of shooting of his father outside a Round Rock home Monday chased him from the home before he fired, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by KVUE News.
The affidavit states a witness told responding deputies he saw a young man, later identified as Trevor Thompson, 19, enter a home along Sardinia Drive. The witness said he heard a gunshot around 30 second later and another man running from the home. They added Trevor pursued his father from the home and fired another shot, striking his father in the back.
The affidavit also included a report from the victim, who told authorities his son had shot him.
The victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities said the father was stable, but did not provide an update on his condition.
Thompson was arrested without incident in northwest Austin Tuesday and booked into the Williamson County Jail. The affidavit states he is facing a felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, family violence. Online jail records show he is being held on $150,000 bond as of Wednesday afternoon.
