Hutto ISD contract employee fired amid inappropriate relationship allegations

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TEXAS - A contract employee for the Hutto Independent School District was terminated after administrators were notified he was allegedly involved in an inappropriate relationship with a student two years ago.

In a release, school officials said a Hutto ISD employee told them on Oct. 4 about the possible relationship, which allegedly happened during the spring semester of 2015.

The student involved was a 17-year-old senior at the time, the release stated.

Officials said the contract employee accused in the incident has worked with the district since 2010 and assisted with the Hutto High School Band. Officials said the contract employee did not have a teaching certification.

Hutto ISD reported the incident to law enforcement and the alleged relationship is under investigation.

"The district will continue to work with police to hold the contracted employee accountable to the fullest extent possible if wrong-doing is proven," the statement read.

KVUE has reached out to the Hutto Police Department and will update this story as more information becomes available.
