UT professor appointed to key administration post for President Trump

AUSTIN - A University of Texas at Austin professor has been appointed to serve on the President Donald Trump Administration, according to the White House.

In a statement from the White House Friday, the Trump Administration announced that Richard V. Burkhauser, an adjunct professor in the Department of Economics and senior research fellow in the LBJ School of Public Affairs at UT, will serve as a member of the Council of Economic Advisors.

Burkhauser's professional career has focused on how public polices affect the economic behavior and well-being of vulnerable populations, the White House said.
