Two men wield weapons in Austin road rage incident

KVUE's Brandon Jones has the story of what happened when two men wielded weapons during a road rage fight.

AUSTIN -- A video allegedly shot Monday morning in Austin showed two drivers get weapons before engaging in a fight in the middle of traffic on a local road. The fight happened at the Slaughter Lane and I-35 intersection.

The video, which was uploaded by 19-year-old Noel Esquivel from New Braunfels shows one man walking up to a Chevrolet pickup truck while wielding a baseball bat. The driver of the truck gets out of his vehicle and grabs a pole from the back of his truck.

At that point, both drivers begin swinging their weapons at each other. The fight begins to subside as the car with the cell phone video shooter begins to drive away.

"I just didn't expect this to happen. I just pulled out my phone," Esquivel said.

Police are still looking for the driver with the bat in his hand. APD  says the men did not know each other and they're investigating this situation as a case of aggravated assault.
