AUSTIN - A toddler was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after she was possibly bit by a rattlesnake at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
Austin Travis County EMS said they were called to the center in South Austin shortly after 2 p.m. Tuesday. A 2-year-old girl was taken to Dell Children’s Medical Center and is expected to be okay. EMS added it did not appear to be a rattlesnake bite, due to their records showing the child showed some markings, but not a puncture wound.
A spokesman for the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center told KVUE's partners at the Austin American-Statesman they were looking into the incident.
