The Wednesday before Thanksgiving is traditionally one of the busiest travel days of the year, and AAA is estimating more than 50 million people will travel for the holiday.

KVUE spoke with friends Kaitlin McAuliffe and Emily Brown visiting from Georgia. Both women say the 17-hour trip was worth it.

"We did hit some traffic on our way in, but we would do it all over again, and we plan to next year," Brown said.
