SWAT situation in east Austin ends with no suspects found

AUSTIN - The Austin Police Department's SWAT team ended a call to a residence in east Austin after not finding any suspects inside the home.

According to APD, just after 5 p.m., they received a call about a fight inside a home in the 2900 block of Collins Creek Drive. Police said there were reports that shots were fired inside the home.

When the SWAT team arrived at the scene, they secured the scene and entered the home. However, when they got inside, they didn't find anyone.

No one was injured.

Police said the public is not in danger and no one is on the loose with a gun.

The case is under investigation.
