Police say they caught three people as they were burglarizing a Northwest Austin home.

Wednesday officers responded to a burglary in progress call on Hunters Trace off Highway 183.

They arrived to find the homeowner escaping out a rear window.

Officers arrested the robbers, who had already ransacked the house and opened all the Christmas presents.

The suspects are 19-year-old Alberto Rea, 18-year-old Jesus Rea and 19-year-old Christian Membreno.

They are charged with burglary of a residence, which is a 2nd degree felony.
