Two EMS commanders accused of sexual harassment

There are allegations of sexual harassment in the Austin/Travis County EMS. Wednesday afternoon, officials revealed that two commanders are accused of sexually harassing four cadets.
The allegations stem from an incident in early November when academy cadets and instructors attended an overnight training session.
EMS officials say the night before a team-building, ropes exercise -- four cadets and two commanders were involved in some type of incident.
Officials aren't saying what exactly happened, but the sexual harassment allegations against the two commanders stem from that night.
Both commanders have been placed on administrative leave. KVUE News was told the four cadets are still going through the academy.
EMS has hired an outside investigator to look into the allegations. It's not known how long that will take.
"EMS is a highly accountable organization. We deal with life and death. We can't afford to drop the ball -- so we take these indicators that something that's very serious to us. We're going to use it as an opportunity to pivot forward," said Ernesto Rodriguez, acting Austin-Travis Co. EMS director.
Of the four cadets -- two are men and two are women. Of the two commanders -- one is a man -- the other is woman.
