Teen wanted in shooting turns himself in

Austin police say the 14-year-old who shot another teenager earlier this week has a criminal record.
It happened Monday afternoon at a home in the 7000 block of Kildare Cove, near Loyola Lane and Johnny Morris Road. The SWAT team surrounded the house, but when they went inside, the teenager was gone.
The teen turned himself in on Wednesday.
Police say they think the shooting was an accident, but that 14-year-old boy is still charged with aggravated assault for reckless use of a weapon.
He was on parole at the time for a prior conviction.
The victim was in serious condition Wednesday night.
