Police suspect murder-suicide in couple's deaths

Austin police are investigating the deaths of a couple found dead inside their home.

It happened in a Northwest Hills subdivision across the street from Hill Elementary School in the 8600 block of Tallwood.

Police said Tuesday they believe the deaths are a result of a murder-suicide.

The dead have been identified as 37-year-old Andrea Bjorksten and 43-year-old Andrew Bjorksten.

Police believe Andrew Bjorksten shot his wife before turning the gun on himself.

Police got the call around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Investigators are releasing few details at this time, but say there are signs of trauma and the discovery was made by friend of the family.

Neighbors say they couple had four children.

Investigators said none of the children were home at the time.
