Williamson Co. approves $118 million budget for 2009
05:11 PM CDT on Tuesday, August 19, 2008
Williamson County commissioners have approved a budget for 2009, totaling more than $118 million.
County Auditor David Flores says the budget can be fully funded if property is taxed at 46 cents per $100 of value. That's 2-cents lower than the current rate.
Commissioners will vote on the proposed tax rate next week.
The new Williamson County budget would fund 40 new employees, including seven new sheriff's deputies.
