The first day of school got off to a frightening start at Austin's
Lanier High School Tuesday.
A student has been charged with bringing a loaded gun to school.
A.I.S.D. officials say the student was arrested after a brief struggle
Tuesday afternoon, just outside the school building.
He was approached by police after a tip to Campus CrimeStoppers.
School officials say the student had carried the 9-mm handgun with him
all day.
