Hutto lifts request for emergency conservation
10:37 AM CDT on Thursday, July 31, 2008
The City of Hutto Thursday said water customers no longer have to conserve water, after a break in a water line was repaired.
Hutto officials sent out an urgent request Wednesday asking people to hold off washing laundry, dishes, vehicles or watering landscapes. They were concerned that the water main break in one of the city's supplier's lines could affect the amount of water for drinking or fire-fighting.
Officials say the water system has recovered now that the repair has been fixed.
