Hutto asks residents to conserve water
10:22 AM CDT on Wednesday, July 30, 2008
The City of Hutto issued an urgent request Wednesday, asking all residents to conserve water because of a water main break.
City officials say the break happened on a line early Wednesday run by a water supplier, and in order to make sure there is enough water, residents should turn off all irrigation, not run washing machines or dishwashers and wait to wash vehicles until further notice.
City officials say the conservation efforts should ensure that there is enough water for drinking and the fire department.
The request does not affect customers of Jonah SUD.
