Rocky David Neasbitt, who runs The Branch Manager landscaping, was arrested and charged with two counts of deceptive trade practices by the Williamson County Precinct 3 Constable's Office.
Investigators say they have so far identified 10 victims who contracted with the company and say they were defrauded.
"We encourage the public to research a company before hiring them," Precinct 3 Constable Bobby Gutierrez said in a news release. "First, ask for local references where the contractor has completed work and verify the references. Second, check with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to see if they are a BBB accredited business or if there are any complaints against the company."
Officials say they would like to talk to anyone who believes they have been victimized. Call the Precinct 3 Constable’s Office at 943-1430.
The charges carry a punishment of up to one year in jail and a $2,000 fine.
