An eco-friendly sports car? Those words don't go together too often, but a Central Texas company says it has achieved the extraordinary.
Ronn Motor Company of Horseshoe Bay, unveiled the "scorpion" Tues day.
It operates on a combination of hydrogen and gas. Maxwell says the car gets 40 miles per gallon on a 10-gallon tank. It can go 208 miles per hour!
"We wanted to build a car that was exotic as anything on the planet and still prove we can get good fuel mileage out of it," said Ronn Maxwell, Ronn Motor Company.
Maxwell is taking orders online for the fall. He plans to build 200 scorpions. They're going for $150,000 a piece.
