Cat Hollow is back to its usual quiet state, and neighbors are breathing a sigh of relief.

“It was a pretty scary night,” said Cat Hollow resident Pat Brown. “Nothing like this has ever happened. We've had some minor crime, but nothing of this magnitude. So, yeah, it was definitely a shock for me.”

Williamson County Sheriff's Deputies arrested three men on Friday.

One of them is a man named Milton Estrada Hochen, 24.

Deputies say Hochen was caught breaking into cars in Cat Hollow Thursday morning. He was with two other men.

The car burglars led deputies on a short car pursuit through the streets of Cat Hollow when they realized they were caught. Then the car burglars crashed into two vehicles parked in a driveway.

“It terrified me because I heard this big loud crash and jumped up out of bed,” said Cat Hollow resident Janice Kanedy.

The men fled on foot; they tore through fences between homes, and managed to get away by stealing another vehicle.

Detectives were able to collect clues that led them to Hochen.

Deputies have also arrested two other men and are checking to see if they were also involved in the car break-ins. Gustavo Morales, 31, and Juan Carillo Monterros, 19, are in custody. Morales was arrested on an immigration detainer. Monterros was arrested on charges of not having a driver's license. Deputies think the men could also be involved in the break-ins.

“I'm just so thankful for the Sheriff's department. They patrolled, their car stayed in front of my driveway until about five in the morning with the lights flashing. I felt very safe and secure,” said Cat Hollow resident Miriam Trainer.

The men involved in the car break-in spree at Cat Hollow are linked to other break-ins in the Austin area.

Deputies are not saying what clues led them to the arrests so far, but say the investigation is ongoing.
