Police investigate east Austin shooting

A homeowner was shot as three men tried to force their way into his east Austin home. It happened at 1301 Luna Street. The 53-year-old homeowner was taken to the hospital after being shot in the stomach. The three men took off after the shooting. Police were still searching for them Monday evening. “All we have are three black male suspects,” Sgt. Michael Olsen said. “We are still working on getting some details.” The victim was taken to Brackenridge Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
