A downtown police chase ends with a dramatic jump from the MLK bridge.

Police say they were arresting a man for narcotics possession Tuesday night when he slipped out of his handcuffs and took off running.

He made it to the bridge at MLK and Interstate 35 where he tried to jump and grabbed the railing.

When officers tried to pull him up, the man dropped onto the freeway.

He suffered a few broken bones.

He now faces narcotics and other charges.
