Lawmakers consider suspending gas tax

A group of Texas Democrats has proposed relief at the pump by temporarily suspending the state's gas tax.

Texas collects 20 cents from every gallon of fuel.

House Bill 120 would put a moratorium on the state gas tax for the next 90 days.

Governor Rick Perry will have to decide whether or not to put the bill on the agenda for the current special session.
